A decision record keeps what was decided, why, when, and whether it still stands, beside the thing it decided. It sits in the palette's Record category, one of the six Collaborate categories.
What is on the card
- The element's label is the decision itself ("Use D1 for durable storage"). A new card reads "We will …"; double-click to write yours. A long statement is clamped to three lines.
- A status badge in the top-right corner: Proposed, Accepted, Rejected or Superseded, each with its own colour and glyph. A new card starts as Proposed.
- The drivers that led to it, listed under "Because".
- A date, as a pill at the foot. An undated card simply shows no date.
The status colours the badge, a soft glow and the driver markers, never the card's own fill, so the card keeps the tab theme like everything else.
Setting it
Right-click the card and open Decision. There you pick the Status, set the Date (clear it to remove it), and add drivers with Add Driver (up to 20, each up to 200 characters). Every change is an ordinary edit, so it undoes like one.
Superseding one
To show that one decision replaced another, mark the old one Superseded and draw an arrow from the new card to it. The arrow is the link: there is no separate "replaced by" field.
