A Reaction pad throws a burst over itself when somebody presses it, or walks an Avatar-mode character onto it, which is the same act.
Adding one
The React category, one of the six Collaborate categories, holds five pads, one per reaction, so you pick the one you want and it drops ready, already captioned with what pressing it means: "Celebrate", "Nice one", "Show some love", "Thanks" or "It shipped". Type over the caption to say something else.
To switch an existing pad to another reaction, right-click it and pick one from Reaction.
The five reactions
- Confetti for a result worth celebrating.
- Sparkles for a good idea nicely done.
- Hearts for warmth towards a person rather than a result.
- Applause to thank somebody for the talk or the demo.
- Fireworks for when it shipped.
Nothing is saved
Everyone in the room sees the burst, and nothing is saved: a reaction is a moment, not a mark on the canvas, so there is nothing to undo and nothing for a latecomer to find.
Pressing a pad again while it is still bursting starts the burst over rather than piling another on top. Standing on a pad in Avatar mode throws one burst; step off and back on for another.
On a view-only link the pad shows but does not fire. With reduced motion on, the pad stops bobbing and the burst appears as a single still picture at its widest instead of animating, so you still see the moment.
