The Themes view sits under Library in the Explorer sidebar's More group, beside the Image gallery and Shape libraries, and holds the custom themes you have built. It is where your themes live between documents, so a palette you crafted once is ready to reuse everywhere.
Your theme library
Each saved theme shows as a card with a swatch preview and its name, so you can recognise it at a glance, plus a dashed New theme card to start another. If you have not built any yet, the view says "No custom themes yet" and offers a New theme button instead.
Each theme card carries three icon buttons (hover one to see its name):
- Edit opens it in the theme builder to tweak its colours.
- Duplicate creates a copy named "<name> copy", a starting point for a variation.
- Delete removes it after you confirm. Any document still using a deleted theme falls back to the Default theme, and the removal cannot be undone.
New theme opens the same builder with a fresh theme. The builder here is the one the editor uses, so a theme made in either place looks and works the same.
Where themes get used
Saved themes appear alongside the built-in ones wherever you pick a theme, at the end of the theme list, so applying your own palette to a diagram is no different from choosing a built-in. See Themes for applying them, and Custom Themes for building one in the first place.
Themes are yours whether or not you are signed in: a guest's themes belong to their browser, and come with them when they sign up. They are not shared with your teams.
Duplicate a theme before a big change rather than editing in place, so you keep the original as a fallback while you experiment with the copy.
