While a vote is running, press the Vote button in the bottom bar to open the Vote panel above it. While casting is open the button counts the dots you have left; after that a dot on it means the vote is still on (amber during the results walkthrough). On a desktop the panel stays open while you vote on the canvas: press the button again to put it away, and it closes by itself when the vote is cleared.
For an Editor, the top of the panel shows your own dots, like "2 of 3 dots left".
While voting is open
It shows how far the room has got: how many people have finished ("2 of 5 finished"), dots cast against dots available with a progress bar, and a row per person who has started voting, with their spent dots as filled pips and the rest hollow, ending in how many they have left. Below them a line counts who hasn't started, like "1 person hasn't voted yet".
The tally pills on the canvas tell you what is winning; this tells you whether anyone is still deciding, which is the thing that decides when to press End vote.
The buttons at the bottom follow the vote along: End vote while it is open, then Show results or Clear once it has ended, then Clear vote after the reveal. They are only there for whoever started the vote (or the facilitator); everyone else sees "Only the person who started this vote, or the facilitator, can end it." in their place.
Why the rows have no names
Voter rows aren't labelled with names. Dots aren't recorded against people in a way the app can turn back into a name, so the panel shows the shape of the room rather than a register: all-filled rows are done, part-filled rows are who you are waiting on.
After the reveal
The panel switches to the ranked list the moment you choose Show results.
